April 5–7 | Orcas Island Lit Fest
As if you need an excuse to go to the San Juans! I’ll be talking all things publishing on a panel at this magical literary festival. Click on the link above to see the lineup of talented instructors.

April 17, 7pm | Death & Taxes reading
Hugo House | 1634 11th Ave., Seattle, WA
I’m pretty excited about this evening, as I haven’t shared any of my work in quite some time. Allison Ellis, Michelle Goodman, Jane Hodges, Brian McGuigan, and I will read works-in-progress about deaths literal, spiritual, and metaphoric—as well as an IRS audit, a deceased hoarder’s cache of treasures, and a full accounting of a breakup. Guess which of these I’m covering? If that’s not exciting enough, come to check out Hugo House’s gorgeous new digs!

April 27 | Seattle Writing Workshop
Embassy Suites by Hilton | Bellevue, WA
This is a one-day “How to Get Published” writing workshop. Along with other publishing professionals and agents, I’ll be offering advice on getting published as well as feedback on your specific book project.
